TREE PLANTING PROJECT
This bag allows trees to grow ...
... and many trees make a forest.
Together, we are making Germany a greener place. For every LÄSSIG Charity Shopper sold, we plant a tree in Germany together with the Schutzgemeinschaft Deutscher Wald (SDW) (German Association for the Protection of Forest and Woodlands). Because without healthy forests, we will eventually run out of clean air. The Charity Shopper is a stylish and sustainable accessory: The bags are part of the Green Label Kollektion and are made from recycled polyester manufactured from recycled plastic bottles.
The result is a forest. Since 2012 we have already sold over 50,000 charity shoppers made from recycled PET bottles.
We are doing our bit. LÄSSIG employees regularly pick up a spade and take part in tree-planting initiatives throughout Germany. 4,000 oaks were planted during out most recent tree-planting exercise in the Heidenrod community in the Rheingau Taunus district. The LÄSSIG and SDW teams, a forest ranger and the mayor of Heidenrod all took part in the planting. A further 4,040 trees were planted during the last tree-planting in Saxony in December 2016.
Over 28,000 trees have already been planted since the start of this project. We hope to plant many more trees. If this project and our charity shopper have caught your eye, then help us to make the landscape a bit greener. The Charity Shopper is available from our online shop.
