SHARKPROJECT
For many people, sharks are a terrifying presence. But this is not the reality. Many shark species are under threat of extinction and need our help.
Shark stocks are being depleted throughout the world by overfishing. Specifically, the increasing and largely unregulated trade in shark fins represents one of the greatest threats to shark populations today. The result of this mass killing is irreparable damage to one of the largest ecosystems in the world. As sharks are at the top of the food chain, they are exceptionally important for the marine ecosystem. They often hunt sick or weak animals, leaving populations of other fish species untouched.
We would like to help to protect sharks and therefore support SHARKPROJECT International e.V. with a monthly donation. The organization is involved with protecting sharks and endangered species as well as protecting marine ecosystems. We raise awareness of the organization through the shark design on our products.
